Te reo Māori - The Maori Language

If you need any help learning te reo Māori, just send me any questions and I will endeavour to answer them.

He mihi - A greeting.

Kia ora  - hi, hello.

Pēwhea ana koe?  How are you?

E pai ana au.  I am good.

Tino pai au.  I am very good.

Ko wai tō ingoa?  What is your name?

Ko Kararaina tōku ingoa.  My name is Kararaina.

My to do list....

So I've stopped smoking since three days ago...10 March 2012.  Yaya...now lets see if I can stop forever.  I will use this blog to plot my progress...so yeah I have a few habits I am trying to break...

1) I am smoke-free, I am a non-smoker,..yaya..
2) I need to cut down on my drinking habit - from now on, no more wine.
3) I want to drop 10 kgs...

I'm not asking for much....lets see how I'm going in a few weeks time...

Ko Tongariro te maunga...



"Ko Tongariro te maunga,
Ko Taupo te moana, 
Ko te Heuheu te tangata, 
Ko Ngati Tuwharetoa te iwi."

"Tongariro is the mountain,
 Taupo is the sea,
 te Heuheu is the chief,
Ngati Tuwharetoa is the tribe."

Ko Kararaina tōku ingoa. - My name is Kararaina.
Nō Taupo au.  I come from Taupo.
